Although the art subsequently became forbidden, it is now in the midst of a revival at the hands of the Padjal, chosen of the elementals.
Those who would walk the path of the white mage are healers without peer, possessed of the power to deliver comrades from the direst of afflictions — even the icy grip of death itself.
White Mage is a Job Gem. It can be equipped as long as you have Conjurer as your active class and have Arcanist at or above level 15. You must also have completed all of your class quests upto and including In Nature's Embrace. Once these are met you can accept Seer Folly to aquire your White Mage Job Gem.
