The Thaumaturges' Guild is home to the Thaumaturge job and can be found at Arrzaneth Ossuary at the Steps of Nald in Ul'dah.

Given that the Mhachi magi who founded the city-state were its ancestors, it is not surprising that the study of magic has flourished in Ul'dah. Particularly those who work at Arrzaneth Ossuary, the priests of the Order of Nald'thal have developed and passed on great knowledge of the arcane. There, they have developed methods for performing burial rites, such as using blizzards to stop corruption, raging fires to purify the corpse, and lightning to drive out sins committed during mortal life. The Ossuary now serves as the headquarters of the Thaumaturges' Guild, where mages are trained and new arcane arts are created, as they have learned that these magicks have a significant impact on the living.

Cocobuki Lolobuki[ | ]

"Fire, lightning, blizzards, somnolence—the thaumaturge calls upon an expansive arsenal of offensive incantations to incapacitate and obliterate all manner of adversaries."

Cocobuki, a Dunesfolk descendant, is the oldest of six siblings at the age of twenty-three. With the exception of the youngest, all are masters of the Thaumaturges' Guild. When riots broke out in the streets during the Calamity, they made plenty of efforts to quiet the public in accordance with the sultana's wishes. For their deeds, they were appointed guildmasters and the successors to the disgraced and embezzlement-convicted former leader, Mumuepo.[1]
