New Gridania is a section of Gridania.

Located in the southern part of the city along the Jadeite Flood shoreline, is constructions are, as the name would suggest, somewhat more recent than others because a significant effort to expand and develop about two hundred years ago.[1]

Blue Badger Gate[ | ]

One of Gridania's grand entrances, it gets its name from the legendary animals that watch over the four cardinal directions. It leads to the Central Shroud and opens into the Mistalle Bridges, which bear the name of the Lancers' Guild's founder.

The Roost[ | ]

The Roost is the most well-known inn in all of Gridania, run by an innkeeper named Boyle the Bold with the assistance of his devoted servant Antoinaut. One may always find a wide variety of individuals here, from adventurers to travelers to businessmen, with an airship landing for Highwind Skyways.

The Carline Canopy[ | ]

The Carline Canopy is Gridania's premier pub, tucked away inside the Roost. Mother Miounne, the establishment's owner, reportedly has a special connection to the flower that bears the establishment's name. A dedicated counter for the Adventurers' Guild may also be found here.

Figaga's Gift[ | ]

The blueprints for this magnificent waterwheel were originally created by an immigrant shipwright. He intended to construct it as a token of gratitude for the generosity given to him by the watermill's caretaker. Sadly, the shipwright fell ill and died before he could put his concept into reality. His daughter, after whom the wheel is named, toiled ten years to see his dream come true. Today, it is a proud feature of Gridania, and the blades' distinctive "enclosed" design is regarded as an engineering marvel.

The Oak Atrium[ | ]

The Oak Atrium, which houses the Carpenters' Guild, has a sawmill and a workshop. The sawmill uses the power of Figaga's Gift to cut through wood at an incredible rate, much to the delight of the Gridanian workers.

Acorn Orchard[ | ]

The Acorn Orchard, a playground for Gridania's young and young at heart, is located right behind the Oak Atrium. The area's many playthings, which were made by the best carpenters in Gridania, allow kids to feel with their own hands the grain of the beautiful forest woods and learn more about them.

Quiver's Hold[ | ]

The Gods' Quiver is based in this wooden citadel, which acts as their command center when keeping an eye out for both domestic and foreign assaults. All of the city watchspires as well as those dispersed throughout the Black Shroud receive commands from here. The Archers' Guild is also permitted to utilize Quiver's Hold's practice butts, and on any given day, Quivermen and guild archers can be seen loosing shafts side by side.

The Knot[ | ]

The Knot is a crossroads surrounded by watermills that is somewhat off-center. It links the busiest roads in Gridania close to the Aetheryte Plaza.

The Adders' Nest[ | ]

The headquarters of Gridania's grand company, the Order of the Twin Adders, this area was rebuilt following the Calamity's destruction.

White Wolf Gate[ | ]

Another gate with a mythical animal from one of the four cardinal directions as its name, this section leads to Berlends Bridges. Beyond these are many dreadful monsters, and the Wood Wailers violently forbid travelers from passing through its exit.

Red Otter Gate[ | ]

This floodgate also derives its name from a mythological animal. It is used by fishermen who operate small skiffs on the Jadeite Flood's waters.[2]
