The Armorers' Guild is home to the Armorer job and can be found at Naldiq & Vymelli's in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks.

Blacksmiths were previously thought to be responsible for creating armor. The best of these, though, focused only on armorcraft as time went on and became well-known in their own right. The ability of these armorers to shape metal plates drew the interest of seafarers who desired to strengthen the hulls of their vessels with steel. Only the best armorers are still allowed to use the term "shipwright," and they are highly regarded throughout Limsa Lominsa.

But none of this happened without conflict. The guild split in two as armorers started to distinguish themselves from the smiths. Finally, the former completely disbanded in an effort to achieve the independence of a legitimate Armorers' Guild. Thus, despite the fact that both guilds have a similar history, they also have a competition and constantly seek to outdo one another.

"I see it as my Builder-given duty to not only pass on the techniques of the armorer to the next generation of artisans, but to improve on those processes as well."

Both the forgemaster of the Armorers' Guild and the head of Naldiq & Vymelli's, she is a renowned shipbuilder whose design is credited for the Triumph, the flagship of the Crimson Fleet—a remarkable feat for a person of only 38 years of age. The Seeker of the Sun currently devolves much of her time and energy into training new armorers in her trade while leaving shipbuilding to others.[1]
